The Perfect Pear Card + Freebie

Hello! Long time no see! Haha. I'm sorry I haven't posted in a few days. I've been out of town. My husband is attending the Kentucky State Trooper Academy in Frankfort. He is set for graduation Sept 17th (yes, just one week after the baby's due date). He is there all week and usually drives 4 hours home each weekend to see us for less than 48 hours, so this weekend, while I'm still able to travel, my son and I went up to see him. We had a wonderful time.

Anyways....when I got home from my trip, I had a package waiting for me! My new Copics! I got 80 of them on Ebay for about $2 each! Wowza! That's way better than paying $6.95 each at HL. So needless to say, ever since I opened up the package, I've done nothing but play and color. I did happen to make a card though!

This cute pear image comes from The Little Paper Shop. It was a freebie a long time ago, but I can't find the acutal link now, so maybe it was for a limited time. Anyways, I plan to go to an engagement party tonight and give this to the lovely couple.
I used this week's sketch from Friday Sketchers.

Be Silly!

Here is another LO I did to sell on Ebay. I had a LOT OF FUN with this one! I just adore the animals from Treasure Box Designs. If you haven't tried them yet, don't be afraid to, I just gave it a go and it was so easy! By the way, you can try before you buy! They give away a freebie every Tuesday on their blog! They even include instructions on chalking and drawing the eyes and noses! So easy! I love putting these little guys together, it is so much fun to watch them "come to life" as I add personality to each one. The grass at the bottom of the page is a freebie from Pigtails & Papertrails. The font that I used for the title is called Mandingo (it's a fav. of mine!).

Howdy!

I can't tell you how excited I was to find this! I am going to have to make a poster for a ShareFair in Lexington for the Kentucky Reading Project and our theme is "Booktalks & Beyond!" So I need some svg's that have to do with outer space. I think i have finally figured out Inkscape. I'm getting more comfortable with it each time. This one took me a couple of hours to get it just right, but that is because I was trying to "teach" myself how to use the nodes on Inkscape. I should have just watched a tutorial or something. Anyways, I hope you all enjoy it. Space Rocket Svg If you would like the svg broken down into easier to manage parts here it is: Space Rocket Base, Space Rocket Top, Space Rocket Pieces.

So I found another stick person to convert to Svg. I love her, she's so cute! Feel free to download her. Cowgirl Svg

I also made this sweet little stick Lion. He's much more simple to cut than the cowgirl since he only requires 3 colors. Stick Lion Svg
