Birthday card for a State Trooper!

I'm not sure if I mentioned it yet on my blog, but in case you didn't know it, my husband is a state trooper. So when it came time to make him a bday card, I couldn't resist a little joke about cops and donuts. LOL. I found this picture of a cop pulling over a Dunkin Donuts truck. The inside says: "Get 2 dozen this time!"

I created the cute little donut svg file also, which I was planning to share with you all, but mediafire is having issues. So I'll share it in a few days when it decides to cooperate!

It's a Girl Thing + Little Deer SVG freebie!

It's Thursday and I'm feeling girly! It's all thanks to Lindsay's latest digi stamp collection called "It's a Girl Thing". This set has so many cute and frilly girl stamps in it. I just adore the sentiments that she created to go along with them. There were so many that I wanted to use all of them, so I just made bookmarks instead!

The second one in this photos is not a part of Lindsay's set, but I just liked it anyways and decided to include it. I found it while searching for Princess word art on google. You can download it here.

I decided to make the ring a "pink ice" diamond and surround it with pearls. I used my silver sharpie to color the ring and pearl paint to do the pearls.

Now for your Thursday freebie! If you missed the little dog from yesterday, see my previous posts to download him.

Now hop on over to Lindsay's blog to snag a freebie and check out the rest of the DT's work!

Let's Go Camping & Horse'n Around Layouts with Paper Piecings

I've been very busy scrapbooking some custom pages for a customer of mine. You may recognize the first layout, I made a pre-made page of it a while back to put in my craft booth, but it never sold. So we used it for this lady's photos. Worked out perfectly for her trip to the farm pictures. The paper piecings on this one are from Treasure Box Designs.

Here's another layout I did of her camping photos. I just love those bears! They are from a paper piecing svg set from My Scrap Chick.

A Baby Lamb Card

Here is a cute little baby card for a boy or girl. I made these for that local gift shop to sell. I made 5 that are identical to this one. I used the die cut from My Scrap Chick. I also did this as a part of the Papertake Weekly Challenge to do something different. I don't often use die cuts in my cards. I usually do digi stamps. But I love how this one turned out!

A Classy Wedding Card

Hello folks! Sorry it's been so long since I posted anything. I finally got busy today. I made 5 wedding cards just like the one below. I'm working out a deal with a local gift shop owner who is going to sell them for me. She'll be buying them from me wholesale. Here is what I came up with for weddings.

BIG NEWS & a Valentine's Card

It's so nice to get back in the swing of things after the holidays. I'm having a lot of fun preparing for Valentine's Day. I didn't start making cards until after Valentine's last year, so this is the first time I've ever tried them. I'm lovin' it!

Of course, it is so easy with Lindsay's cute little digi stamps. It didn't take me long at all to make this card, I saw these cute little birdies from the Love Grows Here Set and knew exactly what I wanted to do with them! The cute little Lover's Lace across the top of the card is an svg freebie from SVGCuts.com. You can find it here.
Also today and tomorrow everything at MyGrafico is 25% off!
The sketch is from 2 Sketches 4 you.
And now for the BIG NEWS and your Thursday freebie! Yep, you guessed it!
I'm pregnant!!!
Enjoy this cute little stork and baby!

Don't forget to stop by Lindsay's blog for a freebie and to check out the rest of the DT's work!

A Quick Sympathy Card

I don't know if I've ever mentioned it or not, but I'm in charge of our church's flower fund. So when a family member of someone in our congregation passes away, I'm in charge of sending a card and some sort of plant or food or what have you. So here is a quick little sympathy card that I whipped up tonight.
The senitment was acutally printed using my computer. I just measured a rectangle the size of my card (before folding it) then I made my sentiment and positioned it where I wanted it on the card. Then before printing, I deleted the rectangle that I used as my card template. Just like stamping!
The next thing I did was use the tulips freebie from SVGCuts. It took just minutes to cut and glue together. Then all I had to do was assemble the card.

Butterfly Valentine's Card! + Word Art Freebie!

Well I'm sure you've been wondering where I've been! I slipped off to Florida for a couple of weeks for vacation. I was in Ft. Myers. It is much warmer down there than it is here in Kentucky! It is nice to be home though. I was having a crafting withdawl! Although I did find something to fill the void. I'll post about that tomorrow! I've been making bracelets!

Ok now to the card....I made this cute little valentine's card using the butterfly svg from the "Love is in the Air" SVG Set by Cocoa Studio. It's just $4.50 for 7 great valentine themed svgs! I was given the kit to test out and here is what I've made so far!

As for the cute little word art, you can download it here.
I used this sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches.

Golfin' in Dubai --- Marine Corps Scrapbook

I'm back with another one. While my husband was on a boat deployment in the mediterranian, he was able to stop in Dubai, Saudi Arabia for a little R&R. So he decided to participate in a little golf tourney with some of his fellow Marines. He got to play at the world famous golf resort there. He was in heaven. Here is the group shot.

I created the title and golf balls using inkscape and cut them using SCAL on my cricut. I just found a picture of a golf ball that I liked on google, then I created one very similar to it. If you'd like the files, they're free. Golf Ball & Tee.

For this layout, I used the sketch from Sketch Inspiration. It is a new scrapbooking sketch site that is just getting started. This week is their first sketch. They are going to have prizes from sponsors starting in January, so go sign up! Everyone is so friendly and nice!

Pickin' Punkins - Fall Scrap & Stamp Challenge

Hello everyone! I hope you're having a fabulous Saturday! This is my first time to be a part of the Scrap and Stamp DT challenge. This week's challenge was to scrap about "Fall Traditions". These photos were so perfect for this theme. I took them of my son Travis at the Pumpkin Patch a couple of months ago. Every year we visit the pumpkin patch to pick out the perfect pumpkin. He loves to go there. The man who owns it is an old family friend and I think he enjoys our visits just as much as we do.

I used this week's sketch from 52 Weeks, 52 Sketches. The cute little die cut title was a free svg file from SVGcuts.com. I just downloaded it and cut it with my SCAL program and Cricut. It was so perfect for this layout! As a part of the challenges at Scrap and Stamp, we are supposed to use stamping somewhere in the layout. Well, I decided to spruce it up a bit with some flourishes. So I got out my acrylic flourish stamps and used my Tim Holtz "brushed corduroy" distressing inks to put flourishes in all the right places.

Don't forget to hop on over to Scrap and Stamp to check out the other fabulous layouts done by our Design Team this week. There is a whole new crop of designers ready to show off what they've done, so share the love!

Boot Camp - Marine Corps Scrapbook

Finished another page today! I'm just squeezing them in right and left lately. This one is just pictures of my hubby on his graduation day packing up his stuff.

I used today's sketch from Crafts by Rowena.
I also thought I'd share with you the most cheesy card I've ever made (on purpose that is). This is the card that I gave my hubby for our 5 year anniversary. I didn't feel like doing anything "mushy" this year, so I remembered this free svg that I got from Mamaw's Legacy. I thought it was hilarious and I've just been waiting for the right moment to make it. I did do one thing differently though, I gave them cutesy eyes. That was not included in the svg from Mamaw.
Here is the little poem that I made up on the fly to go inside. Whatdya think? Haha I know what you're thinking, I should keep my day job. haha but I'm a SAHM. hehe.

Fun at Burchett Farms

Here is another layout using a sketch from Crafts by Rowena. The thing that caught my eye about this sketch was the string tied around one of the photos. I thought that was such a cute idea! So to incorporate more string, I cut out 2 circles using my Cricut with precut holes in them for stitching. Then I just used a needle and some floss to complete the design. The font for the title is called "Too Much Paper".
These photos were taken this past summer at Burchett Farms. Mike and Debbie Burchett go to church with us and Mike and Travis are big buddies. So Mike invited us over to his farm after church one evening to "check out the tractors". He loved it! He even got to drive the big John Deere. I'm not sure who had more fun though, Mike or Travis.
