With Deepest Sympathy...+ Freebie

It's Thursday...so you know what that means! Time for a Lindsay project! She has two new sets available! I decided to use this beautiful cross from the Many Blessings set. I used the sketch from 2S4Y this week. I colored the stamp using my copics. I love the purple! I've never used my purple copics much, but I will now.  I cut the card base with my cricut using an old svg from Mamaw's Legacy.

The purple dew drops I made myself using a hot glue gun and alcohol ink. Lindsay has a tutorial here.
This card qualifies for the challenges at Easy Craft Projects (Purple), One Stitch at a Time (Anything Goes), Stamp Something (Fall Colors, Stamptacular Sunday (Fall colors) and Tuesday Throwdown (punches)

Don't forget to check out Lindsay's blog for a freebie and the DT's work!
Now for a freebie! Sorry I haven't had any in a while.

With Deepest Sympathy

This week I decided to make a card. A friend of my grandmother's passed away this week and our family was very close to theirs. We only saw each other about once a year when we'd go down to Florida for vacation. So I made this card to send to his wife. She's a very bright and colorful person, so I hope this card cheers her up a bit.
I used the magnolia digi stamp from Lindsay's Fancy Flower's Digi Set.
I used this week's sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You.

Don't forget to stop by Lindsay's blog to check out the freebie and the work done by the other DT members!

Now for your THURSDAY FREEBIE, you can download the scut file for the Loopy Card Base I used on the card above.

A Quick Sympathy Card

I don't know if I've ever mentioned it or not, but I'm in charge of our church's flower fund. So when a family member of someone in our congregation passes away, I'm in charge of sending a card and some sort of plant or food or what have you. So here is a quick little sympathy card that I whipped up tonight.
The senitment was acutally printed using my computer. I just measured a rectangle the size of my card (before folding it) then I made my sentiment and positioned it where I wanted it on the card. Then before printing, I deleted the rectangle that I used as my card template. Just like stamping!
The next thing I did was use the tulips freebie from SVGCuts. It took just minutes to cut and glue together. Then all I had to do was assemble the card.

Sympathy Card for Lindsay's Stamp Stuff

Here is a card that I made for a friend who had a loved one pass away this week. I really enjoyed coloring this one. The flower just came alive! You can get this beautiful Iris stamp here for only $1.00! As always, don't forget to hop to Lindsay's blog for a fabulous freebie as well!

I also created this lovely butterfly to go with the card. It is actually a Celtic tattoo design. I think it is just beautiful! You can get yours below. It's your Thursday Freebie! Enjoy!
