Week 9 of Lindsay's Stamp Stuff Freebie Search
It's week 9 of the digi freebie search with the Lindsay's Stamp Stuff DT! As always, Lindsay has designed a special stamp for one of us on the design team. On Thursdays, one lucky DT member will have her special stamp available to download free for a whole week.
This week I decided to try out Lindsay's Iris stamp. It is only $1.00! I tend to shy away from stamps of realistic looking flowers because I'm always so afraid they they'll turn out looking dumb because I didn't color them the right color. But this week, I was feeling brave. I decided, you know what? Who says Iris' have to be purple/blue. I want a pink one. So I have no idea if there is such a thing as a pink iris, but I like it anyways. The font I used for the Thank You is called Ma Sexy. I love it!

Also, thought I'd mention that Lindsay is having a deal this month. If you spend $5 in her store, you get a free stamp! Can't beat that!
Don't forget to check out the links below to see who has the freebie this week!

Masculine Fisherman Birthday Card
The digital stamp is another image from Dustin Pike. I used a lighter to burn the edges to give it a rough look. Then I used some Tim Holtz distressing ink to rough up the card and sentiment a bit. This was also part of the challenge this week at Dare U 2 Digi Stamp.

A Hoppin' Card for Frog Lovers!
Here is a cute little froggie card that I made today. I just love hot pink and lime green together. I It gave this cute little frog a somewhat girlie look! The frog image is a digital stamp from Doodle Dragon Studios, designed by Dustin Pike. I created the cutsie little word art to go with the card using Ma Sexy Font. You can download the word art to create your own card here.
I used some bling and glitter on this card as well. That was the challenge for this week at Digital Tuesday.

AARGGHHH! I'm so annoyed! Read this!
You would not believe the nerve of some people. I sold a card on ebay this morning and was so excited, then I read the note that the buyer sent along with the payment:
"Hello I need to recieve this card before August 21st.. To be honest with you I would NEVER buy this card because it is ugly beyond words.. But.. I am going to give it to my mom for her birthday and tell her it was the most crappy card on eBay... Anyways please ship my card as soon as possible and enjoy my $5 which was probably 99.8% profit to you. Thanks."
The nerve of some people! Can you believe how rude they are? Here is the card that I sold. It was one that I posted a while back, but I converted it to a birthday card for ebay. It is meant to be funny, but the buyer thought it was "ugly" and "crappy". I would never tell anyone that about their work, even if I was thinking it. Everyone deserves a little respect when it comes to their creativity. Don't you agree?

Card made with Treasure Box Freebie
Here is a cutsie card that I made using a freebie flower from Treasure Box Designs. It was very quick and easy to assemble. I added some stickles to the flower and background to give it some flair.
