It's week 10 of the digi freebie search with the Lindsay's Stamp Stuff DT! As always, Lindsay has designed a special stamp for one of us on the design team. On Thursdays, one lucky DT member will have her special stamp available to download free for a whole week.
This cutesy card was made using Lindsay's Primative Bird & Flower stamp. It's only a $1.00 folks! The flowers and dragonfly I got in an embellishment pack from the Dollar Tree for just $1.00! So cute!

Blog Makeover!

Hello all!
I just thought I'd give my blog a little TLC today and give it a makeover. I wish someone would pop in and do that to me. haha. I could probably use a makeover. Anyways, the background is from Shabby Blogs and the header is from The Cutest Blog on the Block. I altered the header using Funky Fun font and then added a couple of palm trees that I got for free from Lora. They were a part of her Precious Planet collection. I just used the png image that she had in the zip folder. I imported it all into Paint.net (it's a free program) and played around with it. I'm not that familiar with Paint.net. It was kinda hard to get used to, but I think I'm gonna like it if I can figure it all out. So anyways...what do you think? Kinda fits the whole blog title a little better huh?

Having a bad day?

Here is a card I made using one of Dustin's digi stamps. I love this one! The bear looks so offended. It's hilarious. I colored it using my Bic Mark Its. The font on the sentiment is called Funky Fun.

Week 9 of Lindsay's Stamp Stuff Freebie Search

It's week 9 of the digi freebie search with the Lindsay's Stamp Stuff DT! As always, Lindsay has designed a special stamp for one of us on the design team. On Thursdays, one lucky DT member will have her special stamp available to download free for a whole week.

This week I decided to try out Lindsay's Iris stamp. It is only $1.00! I tend to shy away from stamps of realistic looking flowers because I'm always so afraid they they'll turn out looking dumb because I didn't color them the right color. But this week, I was feeling brave. I decided, you know what? Who says Iris' have to be purple/blue. I want a pink one. So I have no idea if there is such a thing as a pink iris, but I like it anyways. The font I used for the Thank You is called Ma Sexy. I love it!

Also, thought I'd mention that Lindsay is having a deal this month. If you spend $5 in her store, you get a free stamp! Can't beat that!

Masculine Fisherman Birthday Card

Here is a card that I created for my dad's birthday. He doesn't look as old as this guy does, but I thought it would be funny to give it to him anyways. I love the white t-shirt. It seems like old guys always wear white shirts with everything. I know my grandfather does. I created another word art image to go with this card. You can download it here.

The digital stamp is another image from Dustin Pike. I used a lighter to burn the edges to give it a rough look. Then I used some Tim Holtz distressing ink to rough up the card and sentiment a bit. This was also part of the challenge this week at Dare U 2 Digi Stamp.
