The challenge this week at the Doodle Dragon Challenge Blog was to make a girly dragon card. So I decided to use this cute little birthday dragon from Dustin Pike's collection. I decided to use the sketch at Papertake Weekly Challenges this week. Also, Charisma Cards had a birthday challenge this week that required a candle to be somewhere on the card!

A Birthday Chick
Lindsay is on a roll this week folks! She's got her Easter stamp set ready to release! I took one look at this cute little chick and knew I had to use her for something! Well, I wasn't quite in the mood to start making Easter cards just yet, so I got some inspiration from another blogging friend and used her sentiment to make my own card! It's a birthday chick card!
I used this week's sketch from Mojo Monday.
Don't forget to stop by Lindsay's blog to snag your weekly freebie and check out the work done by the rest of the DT!

A Place to Store my Markers!
Hey folks! I'm back. I've been a bit absent lately. My husband and I both had the stomach bug this weekend. Ugh! No fun. I'm finally feeling better and decided to do something crafty. I bought some more Bic Mark Its at Big Lots this weekend I already had most of the colors in the box, but there were a few I didn't have and for just $4.00, it was a good buy. Well I decided to create a cute little container to put them all in. So I dug out this empty Quaker Oats container that I'd been holding on to. I knew I would use it one day! It was just perfect for storing all those markers! I covered it in this cute polka dot paper from My Mind's Eye. Then in my Publisher program, I created this color palatte with all the names of the colors. After printing, I colored each circle the correct color. That way it would save me time deciding which colors to use in the future! I'll probably decorate the top sometime in the future, but I just wasn't up to it today. Here is a clipboard I did last week and just haven't had time to blog about it. I love these papers. Reminds me so much of elementary school. It would be a great gift for an elementary teacher! I just modge podge to adhere the paper to the clipboard, then reattached the clip and added some ribbon! I'll be putting it in my craft booth for sale.

Birds & Branches... Spring is on it's way!
I was so excited to see what Lindsay had in store for us this week. She has created the most darling Birds & Branches Set! You've got to check it out! My head was just buzzing with ideas of what to make with this set! So here it is!
I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers.
As you can see in the close-up, I cut out a second set of the little birdies and used tiny pieces of pop dots to adhere them to the card. To keep the pop dots from being too noticeable, I colored them hot pink to match the birds.
Here is what I put on the inside of the card. The font is called "Little Days".
Don't forget to stop by Lindsay's blog to snag your freebie and to check out what the rest of the DT has been up to!
Now for your Thursday Freebie! Here is a Spring title for your scrapbooking needs, or you can just use the flower if you like (it's in 3 pieces). Spring Title & Flower SVG

Our Family
Well today was a dreary day in Kentucky. It was overcast and about 40 degrees, but slushy snow still remains everywhere. So needless to say, we all stayed indoors today. I decided to play with my cricut and do something crafty.
First of all, I cut this beautiful tree for the project below but did it too large, so then I decided to use it on a scrapbook page! I had this 5x7 photo from a while back when our son was just a year old or so. The tree is a freebie that can be found at Blu Mama's blog. The title "our family" is part of free collection that can be found at SVGCuts.com
Here is another scrapbook type project that I did. It is inside of a clear plastic frame that has large magnets on the back to place on your refridgerator. Once again, the title is a part of a free collection at svgcuts.com. The tree is a freebie from FreeSVGs.com. The word art in the circle is from ElegantWordArt by Bethany. I plan to sell this one in my craft booth.

Valentine for my Hubby
I was totally stumped for what kind of card to make my husband for valentine's day. I didn't want to make a sappy one, but I'm not the best at coming up with funny cards either. Thankfully, my good friend Lindsay gave me some inspiration. She was on the ball this year. She made her card a few weeks ago and as soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to use the same sentiments for my card (or close enough anyway). Here is her original post.
I wasn't sure if I wanted to just use a clipart of a cow or make one with my cricut, so I just set out browsing google for ideas. Then I came across this old black and white photo. Inspiration hit! To me, it looks as if this is a hot shot business man talking to some young farm boy about girls. haha. So this is what I imagined he would say to the boy: "Remember boy, don't buy the cow if you get the milk for free." haha.
Hopefully my husband will get a kick out of it! Thanks for stopping by!

Baby Girl Door Hanger
Once again, I've been digging through my stash to "To Do" projects that I bought at Michaels a while back and I found this unfinished wooden door hanger. I decided to do it up using Lindsay's Babies and Bows Set which is 50% off, making it just $3.00 for several great stamps!
I colored the images with regular coloring pencils and then cut them out and used modge podge to adhere them to the door hanger. Tip for cover the door hanger with DP, use a finger nail file to file the excess paper off of the edges of the hanger, it makes a nice flush smooth finish.
Everything at MyGrafico is 25% off this weekend! Plus, Lindsay is putting all of her holiday and Valentines stamps on sale 50% off until the 22nd! Don't forget to stop by Lindsay's blog to grab your freebie and check out what the rest of the DT has in store!
Now for your Thursday Freebie!!! Remember this cute little owl wall art that I made a day or so ago? As promised, here is the file to cut the little owl yourself!

Altered Paint Can -- For Pup Treats
Isn't it amazing how cleaning up the old craft room can spawn a little crafting mojo? I decided to get in there and straighten up today and kept finding things to distract me. Like this paint can that I bought at Michael's a few months back. I finally decided to tackle it. I had a vision in mind, but didn't know exactly what I wanted. Then I found the perfect patterned paper in my stash (had no idea it was there!). Here is what I came up with! I think I'm going to put it in my craft booth.
Owl Wall Art
Hello all! I can't wait to share this with you today! I'm so excited at how cute it turned out! I can't say that I came up with this on my own though! I got the inspiration from Momiji's blog! I just love her blog. She's always sharing something that she "re-purposed" or transformed. Be sure to check out all of her blog to see her fabulous creations. I have a direct link to her owl art above. She hand cut all of her pieces, but I created an svg file that I cut using my cricut. I may share that with you at a later date. Not sure what I'll do with this yet, but I love it!

A Fairy Princess Valentine
It may not be your typical valentine card, but it's just perfect for my niece! She loves playing dress up. This little valentine is for my niece from my son. They are very close in age and adore one another. I used Lindsay's fairy princess from the Pretty Princess Collection. I modified it slightly by adding a little heart in her hand to make her look like a valentine fairy. I colored her with my coloring pencils and used my cricut to cut out the scalloped shaped card. As for your Thursday Freebie, it is the card template. You can download it here.
The inspiration for this card came from 2 Sketches 4 U.

A Bellarific Birthday Card
Today is my DSIL's birthday and I made her a card that fits her personality to the T! Her favorite color is hot pink and she loves zebra print. Not to mention she loves to shop, so this Emmy Bella image fits her perfectly!
I used this sketch from this week's Bloggabella challenge. The theme this week was Birthdays!Monday, February 1, 2010
An Alligator Valentine
Remember that guy who wanted an alligator christmas card? He wanted an alligator valentine card this time, so this is what I came up with. I found this vintage image on google and altered it a bit to say what I wanted.
I used this week's sketch at Friday Sketchers.
