I'm having a....

BOY! For those of you keeping track of my pregnancy, thanks for the support. I had an ultrasound today and everything is looking good. We found out it's another boy!

My Mother's Day Card

I have been needing some inspiration to get started on my mother's day card for my mom. I finally found it! It is national scrapbooking day tomorrow and over at Crop Diva's Destination, they are celebrating starting today. Their first challenge was to use a color combination (see below). Then I saw this sketch below on Mojo Monday and it fit perfectly!

I found this cute little photo of an elephant and her mama on google, made it black and white and cut it out. Then used a sentiment that I stole from a card at walmart (hehe, no creativity). The inside says: "How else could I have turned out so great?" I know it is a funny card and sometimes you need sentimental, but this time I decided my mom needed a little pick me up, so I made it funny. She's been dealing with sick loved ones for a while now and it gets her down in the dumps, so hopefully this will brighten up her mother's day.

Hello folks! It's Thursday, so that means it's time for a LSS project! And good news, Lindsay has consolidated her design teams into one talented team! So don't forget to check out the work done by the rest of my new teammates! I created this card for my aunt who has breast cancer. She has been courageously fighting it for more than 2 years now. I loved Lindsay's "Save the Ta-Ta's" stamp, but I changed the wording to say "Hope, Courage, Believe, Survive". I think it is more appropriate for the card I'm sending her.
I found this beautiful word art through Google that I thought would go great on the inside of the card.
This card qualifies for the following challenges:
A Spoon Full of Sugar -- 3D Something
DU2DS- Flowers on patterned paper

Don't forget to stop by Lindsay's blog!

Sorry, no free svg this week. I have been so busy I haven't had time to create one!

A Baby Lamb Card

Here is a cute little baby card for a boy or girl. I made these for that local gift shop to sell. I made 5 that are identical to this one. I used the die cut from My Scrap Chick. I also did this as a part of the Papertake Weekly Challenge to do something different. I don't often use die cuts in my cards. I usually do digi stamps. But I love how this one turned out!

Bookmarks for Kids at School

Here are just 3 of the 20 bookmarks that I created for my SIL. She's finishing her student teaching and wanted to give the kids in her class a little something. So I made these for her. The cute little worm is a clipart freebie from Phillip Martin. If you haven't heard of him, you should check out his site. He has tons of awesome free clipart!

A Classy Wedding Card

Hello folks! Sorry it's been so long since I posted anything. I finally got busy today. I made 5 wedding cards just like the one below. I'm working out a deal with a local gift shop owner who is going to sell them for me. She'll be buying them from me wholesale. Here is what I came up with for weddings.

Bath Time & Owl LO

Hello everyone! I've been scrappin' again today. Hopefully I can get in a couple more pages before the day is out, but I just thought I'd take a break to share the first one with you and let you know just how excited I am to have discovered Crop Diva's Destination! The blog was formerly "Crafts by Rowena", which if you remember, I've used tons of her sketches. Well I haven't been scrapping for a few months until now and I just discovered that she's remodeled her blog, got a DT and is holding giveaways! What a busy gal! Anyways, I just had to get started using her sketches again, b/c let's face it, I just love them! (See the sketch below).
Here is another page I got finished with this afternoon. I just love that little owl. I cut him with my cricut. If you'd like the file. I shared it in a previous post, found here.

I used another sketch from Crop Diva's Destination.

All in a Day's Work

First of all, I want to remind you that the Shop, Hop & Blog is still going on for the next 2 days and LSS is still having a 50% off storewide sale!

Yesterday was quite a productive day in my craft room! I got 6 scrapbook pages done, finished making 79 bottlecaps and 36 glass tile pendants. The scrapbook pages are for my aunt. She loves to take photos and she gave me a box with about 30+ rolls of film in it from the past 10 years and asked me to scrap them for her. Thankfully I don't have to scrap every single picture, and she's going to pay me, but what a task! Well it's been sitting in my craft room for several months and yesterday I finally found the gumption to get started.
This page features a carousel horse digi stamp from Linsday's Stamp Stuff. I posted it in the virtual crop room at MyGrafico.

I've been making this kind of jewelry for quite some time and selling it in my craft booth in town, but a lady who runs a local gift shop saw my things and wanted to place a wholesale order. So below is what she will be putting in her store. The first design I purchased from an Etsy seller here. It comes as a digital file that you can print and do what you want with.
This design I created on my own. I have it for sale in my Etsy shop here.
These are glass tile (scrabble tile) pendants.

Ok, now for my project! This week I decided to make some post it note pads using Lindsay's doodle flower set! It has some adorable stamps in it that I have used over and over again! I think it is by far, my favorite LSS set! Since I won't be posting this Thursday for LSS, here is your Thursday Freebie, a little early. It is the template to cut these cut little holders using your cricut. Post It Note Pads SCUT. If you don't have scal, go to Dawn's Stamping Thoughts to see a video for how to make them by hand. It's so easy!
I found this handy little Fossil watch tin in my bedroom (I think it's my husband's. Shhh! Maybe he won't miss it. I decided to use it in the LSS Crop Room Challenge #6 that says "Recycle a container (altered art). So I created this cute little thank you tin for my son's preschool teachers. I plan to give it to them the last day of pre-school filled with candy. The stamps that I used are from Lindsay's School Rules set. It's just $5.00 for several great school related stamps (see photo below for full set). To cover thee tin I just used modge podge and a paint brush. I used photoshop to add the #1 Teacher and the teacher's names on the ribbon. Then I printed them and colored them with my Bic Mark Its. I used pop dots to give it some dimension. If you want to participate in some fun challenges and get some inspiration, hop over to the LSS Crop Room and join in the fun!
As promised, you can leave a comment to have a chance to win the School Rules set. You can have an additional chance to win by posting Lindsay's badge on your blog (see above note). Don't forget about Lindsay's 50% off sale. And don't worry, if you already have the set that you win, you can pick another one!

Your next stop should be to hop over to KARIN'S BLOG. Enjoy the rest of the hop!

A Birthday Card for My Mom

First of all, I have to say Happy Birthday to my mom. She's 49 years young today! (Yes mom, I just told all my internet friends your age.) Here is the card that I made for her. I combined two stamps from Lindsay's Birds & Branches Set. This card is very much my mother. She loves the trees in the spring.
I used this week's sketch from Friday Sketchers.
Here is what the inside of the card says. (No I didn't come up w/this on my own. I looked at cards at walmart, found one I liked and used my cell phone to take a picture of the inside sentiment!)
Now I just had to show you some of Lindsay's new sets. I haven't started working on them yet, because I just keep going back to her older sets, but I wanted you to see them as well. Click on the photos below to purchase. They're just $5.00 each!
Now don't forget to stop by Lindsay's blog to get a freebie!

Now for your Thursday Freebie! I made this bulletin board for the entry way at our church (Hickory Grove Church of Christ). I used a cute little digi freebie from Dustin Pike. I printed the image on a transparency and then used an overhead projector to trace it on a poster board to make it really big. These are the cute little 3D flowers I made to go on the bulletin board. You can download them below.
