Looks aren't everything...

I think this is one of my most favorite cards that I have ever made. I just adore this little Frankie from Bugaboo. I used the cracked edge svg file that gave away as yesterday's freebie. I am not sure I like the way it turned out, but Frankie's cuteness makes up for it. The sentiment is a freebie from TLC.

Warm Winter Wishes + Border Freebie!

Hello and Happy Thursday! This week I wasn't in the mood to color, so what better time than to use some clipart?! I usually don't work with clipart, but after making this card, I definately will more often! I love how easy it was. And first of all, I must apologize for the sadness of how the photo turned out. My mother borrowed my camera, so I was forced to use an older one (that I despise) and it didn't turn out so well. So when I tried to make another one, the camera batteries were dead. argh!

Anyways, back to the card. I used a sketch from InStyle Stamps blog. I printed the clipart on textured white cardstock. I printed the gifts and the tree star two times, because I wanted to layer them with pop dots (hard to see in photo). The paper is from DCWV. It isn't supposed to be christmas paper, but it reminded me of snow, so I thought it looked nice. Then I just added some sparkle!

You can find this set here.

This card qualifies for the following challenges, 2Sisters (Anything goes), ABC (Glitter), Bee-Crafty (Xmas), Craft Your Passion (Glitter), Crafty Pad (Xmas), Delightful Sketches (It's beginning to look a lot like xmas), Gingerloft (Winter), Snap Creations (Christmas), Lothian Crafts (Christmas), Meljen's Designs (Anything goes), Papertake Weekly (Sparkly & Bright), Quixotic (Christmas is Coming), Sew Many (Anything goes), Fourth Friday (Christmas), Wild Orchid (Pastels)

Wagon Get Well Card

Here is a cute and fun little card that I made the other day using last week's wagon freebie. I cased a card that I had seen on the Scrappin' Navy Wife's blog. She has some adorable cards! I love how she uses faux stitching on almost all of them. Makes quite an impact. This card wouldn't be nearly as cute without it!

BTW, the inside says "Hope you have a speedy recovery!

I made my own business cards! + Freebie!

First of all, I want to let you know about a sale going on all day Thurday. You can get 40% off at MyGrafico. So if you've had your eye on any of Lindsay's new sets, now is the time to buy! If you haven't seen her new stuff, scroll down!

This week I opted to make something totally different. I needed to make some new business cards for my upcoming craft fair in december. So I used Lindsay's new Bowling Fun Papers to create a fun and colorful business card! I manipulated the papers on my free Paint.net program and then saved the file and opened it in my Microsoft Publisher program to add the text.

Here is the first design I came up with. I was beginning to run out of printer ink, so I altered the design some more and came up with another design which you can see below.

I acutally like the white design better. What do you think?

Before I hand over your freebie, I wanted to show you Lindsay's other new sets!

If you love these sets, now is the perfect time to buy! The 40% off MyGrafico sale is Thursday only! Don't forget to stop by Lindsay's blog for a freebie!

Now for your freebie! A cute little wagon! I can't wait to make a card with this one!

Halloween Avon Chapstick Holders-- Craft Fair Items

Here are some chapstick holders that I made to sell in my craft booth. I got the chapsticks on sale from Avon a couple of months ago for just .59 cents each! I plan to sell them for $1.50 each.
The holders are really easy to make. I cut them at 5.5"x3.5" Then a 3"x1" strip. I scored the holders at 2 3/8" and 3 1/8" Then I scored the strips at 3/4" and 2 1/4".

Christmas Hostess Gift + Halloween Freebie

I'm finally getting into the christmas spirit. This is my first christmas project this year so far. I absolutely loved making this simple hostess gift. It was cheap, fast and fun! haha. I got the idea from Kerry's Paper Crafts. If you've never checked out her blog before, you should! She has some great ideas!
The container is a from some fresh strawberries from my local produce store. I simply washed it out. The confetti and candles were from Dollar Tree. The Christmas tag on top is from Lindsay's Nature's Christmas set. The December 25 on top of the ribbon flower is from Lindsay's Christmas Cupcake Wrapper Set.
I used red stickles for holly berries and pearl paint on santa's beard. It looks so much better in person!
Forgive me for the poor lighting on the photos. I took these after the sun went down and I am used to working with natural light. I need to get some kind of light box set up.
This project qualifies for the following challenges: ABC Christmas (Under the Tree), ABC Challenge (X-Mas), Craftylicious (anything goes), The Crafty Pad (Something for a friend), Create 4 Fun (Use a digi), Flourishes (Gift), Flourishes (Inky edges), Inky Impressions (Anything Goes), Make It Crafty (Distressing), One Stop Craft (Alter It)

I also wanted to remind you of a great sale going on til Saturday at Lindsay's store!

Now for your freebies! Don't forget to stop by Lindsay's blog to snag a freebie!

I've also got a free digi for you!

Dinosaur Party Favors + 4 Freebies!

Hello everyone, you better hold on to your hats, this is a long post! It's Thursday and I'm so excited to share my project with you this week! Yesterday was my son's 4th birthday and tonight we're having his party! He loves dinosaurs, so I used that as my theme! Remember that cute little TRex SVG I made a while back? Well I decided to turn him into a digi stamp (you can snag him below).
Then I used Lindsay's Fun Fair SVG template to make the popcorn box to hold all the goodies. Well, i thought it needed a handle, so I used Lindsay's ticket strip svg as a template, but I didn't cut it on my cricut I used the printable template. I also created my own "Admit One" ticket digi stamp to overlay on the ticket strip. I copied and pasted the ticket digi stamp over each ticket on the strip, then printed and hand cut! So easy and it makes the handle look so cool! I made 10 of these in no time at all!

This project qualifies for the following challenges: Cowgirl Sunday (Anything Goes), Crafty Ann's (Anything but a card), Gingersnap Creations (Punches), Karber Weekly (Go Digital), Stamp, Scrap & Doodle (Open Challenge), Stamp-n-Doodle (Anything Goes) and Sweet Stampin (Punch it out).

Here is the Fun Fair SVG templates. They are just 3.00 folks! You get a tapered popcorn box, a strip of tickets with perferations that you can weld end to end to make a roll and a single ticket that you can resize to fit your need and even resize to match any ticket runner stamps you own, just think of the possibilities! Also you get a prize ribbon layered die cut, you can cut all the shapes form solid cardstock or mix and match with diffrent colors and patterns for a funky look. There is so many ways you can use this set! Cut these designs with your Cricut Machine and Sure Cuts a Lot (scal) or Make the Cut (MTC) software or use the printable tempates and cut them by hand like I did!

I also had to make these cute little test tube candy holders to in each favor bag (10 total). One child that will be coming to the party has several food allergies, so I made him one with Smarties inside! I wasn't sure if Skittles were safe or not, but I knew he could have smarties.

Thanks for stopping by, now head on over to Lindsay's blog for a freebie and to check out the work by the rest of the DT! Before you go, don't forget to grab your freebies below! (Right-click to save)
