This week I decided to make a card. A friend of my grandmother's passed away this week and our family was very close to theirs. We only saw each other about once a year when we'd go down to Florida for vacation. So I made this card to send to his wife. She's a very bright and colorful person, so I hope this card cheers her up a bit.
I used the magnolia digi stamp from Lindsay's Fancy Flower's Digi Set.
I used this week's sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You.
Don't forget to stop by Lindsay's blog to check out the freebie and the work done by the other DT members!
Now for your THURSDAY FREEBIE, you can download the scut file for the Loopy Card Base I used on the card above.
So sorry for your loss but I'm sure she will love this card (I know I do) I love the colors and you did a awesome job with the coloring of the flower. Thanks for the freebie!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty - love the way your paired the flower with the DP. I'm sure she will feel uplifted by the card and the thoughts that are sent with it. (((HUGS)))

I'm sure your grandmother will love this card - one, because it is bright and beautiful - and two, because she will know you were thinking of her.
