A Hutch Redone!

So I needed something to use as an entryway table in between my front door and coat closet. The space was screaming for some color. I found this "not so beautiful" hutch at our local thrift shop for just $25! I know most people probably walked right by it thinking, ugh! that thing isn't worth $25. But, if you took a closer look, it was a very solid piece of furniture and it only had very minor flaws. With a little sanding and about 3 cans of spray paint, it was reborn!

I got these knobs at Lowes, but they were too brassy looking for me. I found some handles that I loved (see below) and I liked the shape of these knobs but wanted them to match the handles a little better, so I took a Scotch Pad and sandpaper to them and aged them a little bit, see below.

 Love these beauties!

Now I have the perfect place to store all of our board games!

All supplies were purchased at Lowes.
3 Cans of Valspar "New Avocado" Spray Paint
2 Knobs
2 Handles
Total about $20.00 + $25 for hutch =$45 for one really cool piece!

Strawberry Card--Lindsay's Stamp Stuff

Whew! I'm back again! I've been one busy gal unpacking boxes and trying to get our new home up and running. Not to mention keeping my 6 and half month old little boy happy. We love our new home, especially my new craft room (which hasn't seen much action yet).

Anyways, I'm back just in time for a great sale! Lindsay is having a Spring Sale!

Everything at Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff is 30% off Now through Saturday!

Speaking of Spring, I'm in the spring mood right now, I thought I'd drag out an oldie but a goodie of Lindsay's. I LOVE strawberries and I adore this digi stamp with it's cute little white blooms. I had a lot of fun with this card. I used a sketch from CardPatterns. I also used this adorable strawberry paper from CosmoCricket. I got this paper pack just for this cute paper. The ribbon is just some from my stash and then I added this cute little button to the middle (see below).

Here is a close up of the little button.

Lastly, I added some Lumiere paint from Stampin' Up to the petals of the flowers. They reminded me of some tiny white flowers (or weeds) that I used to pick in my yard when I was little. The petals were shiny, just like these.

I've been gone so long, I haven't had a chance to show you all of Lindsay's new sets!! Check these out!
These sets are all regularly about $5.00 each, but they are on sale for $3.50!

Don't forget about the spring sale! Hop on over to Lindsay's to grab a digi freebie and see a video!

I Make Dirt Look Good! & an announcement!

I'm back! We're finally moved in to our new house and finally finished unpacking. Well, mostly. LOL. My craft room is up and running! Yippee! I finally have my room back. I have been so deprived for the past 6 months since my son was born. I have had to share a room with him and he is such a light sleeper that there was no crafting being done while he slept. So....without further ado...here is my new craft room!

I know. It's still kind of a mess, but at least it's all in one place now. It's hard to tell from the pics, but the room is a charcoal grey with a pink stripe. I may eventually paint my cabinet pink too. I also have a small desk for my sewing machine that I plan to paint pink.

And finally, here is what I did today! This is a scrapbook page of my son last fall. He loves the mud.

Announcement!
I created the title myself and have decided to start selling some of my svg files in my etsy store. Since we bought the new house, I could stand to make a little extra cash. Don't worry though, I'll still be offering freebies on here every once in a while. But I'll also be showcasing files that I've made that are for sale.
Like this one "I make Dirt look good!" is $1.25 in my store.
Pop on over there and have a look at the other files for sale. I don't have many yet, but check back later for more!
