Coffee Table & End Tables Re-do!
After painting a hutch to go in my entryway, I was inspired to tackle my livingroom furniture. It has been with our family for 6 years and they have seen many hot wheel races and monster jams thanks to my son. So needless to say they have seen better days (esp the coffee table). My son prefers to play standing up rather than sitting on the floor like most kids, so everything he does is usually on the coffee table.
BEFORE
BEFORE
First, I primed everything with Valspar White primer.
Then I applied 3 good coats of Valspar Satin La Fonda Copper.
When everything was dry, I added a coat of glaze to the corners and egdes to give it an antiqued look. You can see a tutorial here. Then I applied a thick coat of polyurethane protective spray.

3 Quick Cards
I put these cards together in less than 20 minutes...Wanna know how? I colored the pictures ahead of time! LOL. My husband is always watching some show like Law & Order that I care nothing about, yet he wants me to sit there with him. So instead of watching tv, I color! Then later I can put together a quick card!
Altered Baby Food Jar
Today I decided to make use of some of my empty baby food jars. I filled this one up with the Robin's Egg Whoppers (love those!) I simply spray painted the lid white and wrapped it in pretty paper. Then I added the "Handle with Care" free printable that I got from It Is What It Is. (If you haven't been there, check out her blog! Awesome stuff!)
Thanks for stoppin by!

Make A Wish!
Hello again! Just poppin in for a minute to share my mom's birthday card with you! I made it like a week ago and am just now getting around to sharing it with you. I made it using my own Whimiscal Owl SVG. It cut beautifully. I have the file for sale in my etsy store for just $1.25.

Strawberry Cream Cheese Pie w/Pretzel Crust
I just had to share this pie with you all. It is quite possibly the prettiest pie I've ever made. LOL. I usually just go by the motto: "Who cares if it's messy, it'll still taste good.". But this pie defied the odds of messy cooking in my kitchen. I posted about it on facebook and as usual, I expect people to want the recipe, so I thought I'd just blog about it and post the recipe here. That way just in case any of my followers want it, they can enjoy it too!
Strawberry Cream Cheese Pie w/Pretzel Crust
(I need a catchy-er name!)
Ingredients for filling:
1 Pint Strawberries (cut into fourths)
1 Container Strawberry Glaze (i used sugar free)
8oz. Cool Whip
8oz Cream Cheese
1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Crust:
1 1/2 Cups Pretzel Sticks (chopped)
1 Stick Butter (melted)
1 Tbsp Sugar
Mix the pretzel sticks, butter and sugar together and spread in pie pan. Pat down and put in oven on 350 degrees for about 8 minutes. Remove pie crust to cool. While crust is baking, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla with mixer until well blended. Then fold in cool whip and stir til blended. When crust is cool you can add this in. Then mix strawberries and glaze to add to the top. Refrigerate and enjoy!
