The word Sweet was an altered SVG file that I got from the Vendibles Blog. I added cherries to it. If you'd like the file, it's a freebie: Sweet Cherries Title Svg. To get the 3-D effect of the cherries and the cloth on the lid, I printed out the stamp 2 times exactly the same size. Then I cut out the part that I wanted to be 3-D and added it on top of the original stamp. I then used 3-D pop dots to make them stand out.

Gotta Try It!
You've gotta see this! A 13-Year Old from from the Clever Someday Blog gives a tutorial on how to cut freezer paper stencils with your Cricut machine and use them to paint designs on t-shirts.
I can't wait to try this out! Check out her blog to see more examples of shirts that they have made!
This video is also from Clever Someday. It is showing how to transfer lettering from your Cricut mat to your project in perfect alignment using drywall tape (aka Magic Mesh).

Freebie Wednesday!
Well I called this Freebie Wednesday, but I think from now on I'll do my freebies on Thursdays. I know several people already have Freebie Wednesdays and Fridays, why not give us something to enjoy in between?
Well I think I'm finally beginning to get the hang of this Inkscape thing. It took me forever to figure out how to export my image to a png file so that I could show it to you. But here are a few freebies that I created today! Enjoy!

Cards, Cards Cards!
Here is a card that I made using a freebie Digi Stamp from Dustin Pike. The caption says "Like a Kite, You Lift Me Up." I kinda borrowed and rephrased the caption from someone else's card using this image. I loved it! The swirly background gives it a look of the sky. I used a q-tip and some blue chalk and swirled it around. The dew drops are made from hot glue that is painted with pink pearl nail polish. Once again, this was an idea that I got from Lindsay. Man that girl is talented!
On both of these cards I used one-sided patterned paper and glued them back to back to create the effect of double sided paper. Thanks again Lindsay for the great idea!
This is an image I found through google. It is supposed to be a coloring page, but I used it as a digi stamp. The caption is 3-D.

High School Musical 2 Posters
Well I finally finished a project that I've been working on for a while now. This upcoming weekend, our local theatre "Playhouse in the Park" is putting on HSM2. One of the directors contacted me to make 2 posters for their set. This is the Lava Springs Country Club Logo. I shared the cut file with you all in an earlier post. Just thought I'd share the final product with you.

Sketch # 15
Well I've gotten lax and skipped a week on my 52 Sketches, 52 Weeks Challenges. So I'm trying to get back on track. Here is sketch 15. It is a page about my little boy Travis going to the Pumpkin Patch for the first time. I think he liked playing with the kitty cat and looking at the goldfish more than anything. The orange bracket that surrounds the page was created using another file that I altered. Bracket Border Svg
The svg for the Pumpkin Patch was not created by me. It was a freebie from MyDieCuts.com (click to go straight to the file). The leaves around the title were from a different die cut that was on the CraftEdge Forum (Click to go straight to file).
The butterfly came from a Dollar Tree Store. I got 3 for a dollar! Then I added some glitter glue for sparkle!

A Funny Mother's Day Card
Well I wanted to make a mother's day card, but not the traditional kind. I wanted something funny and witty. I looked at this little girl forever and searched quotes online until finally as I had given up, this one just popped into my head.
I also used Lindsay's technique of creating your own double sided paper. It turned out quite nice. I really like the effect.

Funny, but so true.
I just got an email from my mom. It had a wonderfully funny but true saying:
Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says,
"OH CRAP, SHE'S UP"!
"OH CRAP, SHE'S UP"!
I just hope that I can be that kind of woman. I'm trying hard everyday. This little saying is a good reminder of why I should continue to try. :o)

Some Cards & a Freebie!
I got into a card making mood last night. Here are some of the cards that I made. All of the digi stamps can be found at Dustin Pike. He has some awesome stamps for sale, but these were some of the freebies! I just love his style! The font that I used on each card was a free font called SP Wonderful Wendy.
The flower from this card was cut using the Plantin Schoolbook Cart.
I tested this out by using a piece of 11" paper. I made it big because I wasn't sure how well it would cut if it were smaller. Here it is! It is really pretty! Flower Border Svg

Fancy Bird Joins the Zoo
Hello scrappers! I worked for several hours yesterday creating more animals to join our zoo. This is the only one that I had time to test out. She is so cute! If you notice that the yellow circles are overlapping a little too much, not to worry, I fixed that after the cut. So she is now ready to be cut! If you'd like this file, she's only $1.00! Follow the instructions at the top right of my blog to get her!

Cards Created with Digi-Stamps
I have just discovered digi-stamping in the past 24 hours and already I'm addicted. I've created 4 cards using digi-stamps in that time. Here they are:
This one was created using a freebie digi-stamp from Lindsay at The Frugal Crafter. Thanks Lindsay! It turned out so cute! I have no idea who to give it to, but I love it anyways!
This one was created using a coloring page that I found through Google images. I just shrunk it to fit a card.

The next was created using a digi-stamp from Dustin Pike. I love it! I think this fish is hilarious! The caption says: "Hang in there".
Finally, this one was created for my mom's 48th bday. She's not a fancy person like this flamboyant bird, which is why it is so appealing to me. I found this one through google images as well. I think it is just clipart.
