Cartoon Zoo

Finally! I'm finished with the Cat! I had some troubles cutting him out b/c I accidentally chose the wrong size scraps twice. So I gave up and patched him together. So hopefully yours will look better than mine! If you have any ideas on different colors to use for him or any of the others, please share them with me. I'm not really liking the poop brown color of Mr. Friskers here. haha. Cartoon Cat Svg

I was so impressed with Denise's elephant and how well it was divided into three easy pieces to cut that I decided to try one for myself. I went to google and searched for the elephant file that she created hers from and I found even more cartoon animals! So you can look forward to more in the coming days. It's gonna take a little while. The first one I did was a cow (b/c they are my fav animal, don't ask why). It took me 3 hours to convert, but since I'm figuring it out bit by bit, maybe the next one won't take as long. Cartoon Cow svg **Edit: Since I made this cow I realized that I didn't get the feet and head just right with the black outline and the white center, it has since been fixed, so yours will look better than this one. The feet will be all grey with no black line running through them and the head will not have the black line running across under the ears.

I have finally gotten around to making the adorable cartoon elephant that I found on Denise's blog. I love it! I used a greyish blue printed paper for the background and he could not look better! If you want the svg, you'll have to go to Denise's Blog

Any Bookworms?

I needed a svg of an open book for the poster I'm working on, so while I'm at it, I figured I'd share it with you. It turned out nicely and was very easy to cut and paste together. Here is a pic of the image I converted it from:

I didn't include the background circle, just the book. Open Book svg

I can't tell you how excited I was to find this! I am going to have to make a poster for a ShareFair in Lexington for the Kentucky Reading Project and our theme is "Booktalks & Beyond!" So I need some svg's that have to do with outer space. I think i have finally figured out Inkscape. I'm getting more comfortable with it each time. This one took me a couple of hours to get it just right, but that is because I was trying to "teach" myself how to use the nodes on Inkscape. I should have just watched a tutorial or something. Anyways, I hope you all enjoy it. Space Rocket Svg If you would like the svg broken down into easier to manage parts here it is: Space Rocket Base, Space Rocket Top, Space Rocket Pieces.

So I found another stick person to convert to Svg. I love her, she's so cute! Feel free to download her. Cowgirl Svg

I also made this sweet little stick Lion. He's much more simple to cut than the cowgirl since he only requires 3 colors. Stick Lion Svg

I'm not Pregnant!

But I am getting baby fever! It seems like everyone is poppin' out babies around here. My son is 2 and a half now and I've finally gotten him out of diapers, so now I guess it's burning a hole in my mind. Sorry Nana, still not trying yet.
Anyways, on to the point. I was just browsing clipart on google and found this adorable stick figure couple. I decided to give it another go with Inkscape and it was a success! I think they are just adorable! So I'm gonna share them with you. Here ya go: Prego Couple Svg

My 1st Ever SVG Convert!

So I just got SCAL a week ago and I've finally figured out how to convert a picture into a svg. It's not too hard if the pic is simple, but I'm still confused about some parts of it. Anyways, I've been scouring the web to find tutorials and info on how to do this. I don't think there was any one person that helped a ton. I guess it was just a combo of all the junk that I ingested late at night from all the reading. Well anyways, here it is. It's Elmo! Who doesn't love Elmo?
If you would like to download this SVG file, click here: Elmo Svg
Don't forget to leave me a comment, I love feedback, especially since I'm new to this!
