Pink Warrior

Hey everyone! My cousin Candy Coburn is pursuing a career in the Country music business. She sent me a link to her new song "Pink Warrior". It is a beautiful song about women who face breast cancer and those who love them. It was dedicated to my great grandmother Marie Tucker. The video has pictures of her, a clip of the song and is encouraging people to download it. All proceeds go to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Check it out!

A Card Kit Freebie & a Fab Birthday card in under 15 minutes!

Today's post is extra fun! My friend Lindsay over at The Frugal Crafter is offering a free card kit! All you have to do is download, print and cut! Then you've got a quick and easy kit to make up to 3 cards from! Lindsay's Card Kit Freebie

Lindsay is also offering a deal in her store! Try a card kit and a digital stamp for free, you can download them from Lindsay's blog. You can also still get a free stamp for every $5 you spend in her store! Most of her stamps are just $1.00 each! So that's quite a bargain!

Ok, now for the card. This card was created using everything from Lindsay's Birthday Card kit. And I mean everything! The kit is designed to make up to 3 cards, however, me being the type of person who thinks the opposite of "less is more" decided that "more is more". haha. I wanted to use it all on ONE card! I love how it turned out!

All I had to do was print it out on my computer. It took about 15 minutes to cut everything out. I then put it all together on the card in under 15 minutes! I added some bling by using some a thrift store button and some rainbow colored seed beads for added interest. I used pop dots to pop the scallopped border on the inside and ouside of the card.

These also look great with a digital stamp added to them. Be sure to check out Lindsay's blog for more ways to use these card kits!

In order to make a card like this one, all you need is:
-One piece of cardstock 5.5"x8.5" (for card base)
-Card Kit Freebie
-Any extra bling you'd like to add

Thursday Freebie & Using Digi Stamps for Scrapbooking!

Hello all and Happy Thursday! You know what that means! It's time for a freebie! I created this scrapbook page of my son playing outside in the rain using 2 digital stamps from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff. They were only $1.00 each! I just printed them out and then colored them using my Bic Mark Its! So simple! The freebie for today is the "April Showers Bring May Flowers" title.

To get the flowers at the bottom to pop off the page, I just photo copied the bottom of the paper with my HP all in one printer, then cut them out and used some pop dots! So easy!

Fairy Happy Birthday...

Hey there girls! I decided that today was the day that I would finally tackle multiple challenges in one card! I have never tried this before, but I'm always impressed with Scrappin' Margie and others who do this quite often. I started by choosing one challenge blog that had a sketch, which was Mojo Monday, then I went to some other challenge blogs that did not require a sketch, but just an "element" of the card. Then I jotted down notes for each and went from there.

I also managed to do some recycling with this card! The pink and green argyle paper is actually from a thank you note that I recieved recently. I saved the top part of the card and used it again! What a great idea! So here it is!

Here are the challenges:
Mojo Monday : #87
Stamptacular Sunday's #7: Pink, Green & Brown
Spoon Full of Sugar: #51: Buttons Galore
Scrappy Frog's Challenge: #4 Round & Round
I had one more, but I accidentally forgot about it until I was finished with the card. Oops.
What did you think?

Vote for Me!

Hey everyone! I've entered this craft project into the "Cutest Craft Contest" at the OriginalScrapBox.com. Please click here to vote for me! You can vote once a day!

I made it using a clear glass pendant and a printed stick figure and a little bit o' decoupage. I also made the necklace! I have been giving away a few to friends and they are going to help me "advertise". I've already had 4 orders! I hope this keeps up! I love doing this sort of thing! If anyone would like to order one, they are $10 for a pendant and $5 for the necklace to go with it. I will also be making some with a monogrammed letter behind them soon. So keep an eye out for it! I'll share soon!
This one is a little girl holding a purse with the name Averie.

I also wanted to share with you one of their products. This is my dream! I would love to have this! This is a picture of the Workbox, and you have to go to their website to see the coolest video on how it works. The whole thing folds up, hides the mess, and then easily moves wherever you need it to go on wheels. This is a sturdy piece of furniture which will hold everything imaginable in a beautiful storage space. The Original Scrapbox

Dragon's Can Brush Teeth Too!

Hey there! I guess you're wondering why I made 3 cards almost exactly the same. Well my SIL is graduating from Dental Assisting this month and she wanted to give her teachers a thank you card. I remembered this lovely dragon from Dustin Pike and I had to use it! I had been wondering when he would come in handy and now I know. I loved the idea of coloring each dragon a different color. After I lined them up for this photo I realized how cute it would be if these images were framed next to one another in a dentist office! That may just have to be a future gift for my SIL if she gets her Dental Hygiene degree.

Monster Jam!

My son absolutely loves Monster Trucks! That is why I was so so excited when I saw this freebie digi stamp on Dustin Pike's Blog! I could not wait to use it! My son's birthday isn't until October, so I know I created this way too soon, but I just could not help myself! The balloons are an svg file that I cut with my Cricut. Here is the file:

Thursday's Freebie & A Graduation Card

Here is a graduation card that I made for a friend of mine who was graduating high school. I used a stamp from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff. It is only $1.00. And while I'm at it, I might as well let you know that Lindsay is so graciously offering a great deal during the month of May! For every 5 stamps you buy, you get to choose one more for free! So buy ten stamps, get 2 free! And so on. So check them out, she's got some really cute stuff!

You might recognize the sentiment. It is a quote from the Dr. Seuss book: "Oh, The Places You'll Go".
*Sorry the pics are a little blurry. I accidentally mailed the card out before I uploaded the pics.

Now for the Thursday Freebie!
Here is a title svg that I created for a possible future girlie collection that will be for sale. Here is a freebie from that collection. Glam Goddess. Please don't forget to send me any photos of projects you create using my svgs! I would love to see them. I'll even brag about them on my blog for you! haha.

Fairy Chloe Fluttering By...

Wow. It's been 4 days with no post. Sorry guys! I've been kinda busy I guess. Anyways, here is a card that I made today using The Greeting Farm's Fairy Chloe. The flowers and vines were cut and layered using my cricut. I got the files from somewhere else, but I can't remember where. The yarn across the top was a cheap buy from Big Lots. It is just the messy colorful yarn that you can use to make scarves and things. I thought it gave the card a whimsical look.

The "Happy Birthday" caption was a jpeg image that I got online and converted it into a digi stamp. Click here to download it: Happy Birthday Digi.

After I finished with that card I got the idea to convert the digi stamp into a svg file to cut. It turned out really nice. I cut this at about 4" tall, so I'm not sure how well it would cut in a small size. Click here to download it: Happy Birthday Title & Happy Birthday Shadow

I just used a blank card with a pattern on the front and used several pop dots to make this card. It's simple, but funky.

Ladybug Stamp by Lindsay's Stamp Stuff & a Freebie

This fabulously adorable ladybug card was created using a digi stamp from Lindsay's Stamping Stuff. It is only $1.00! She also has some adorable stamps to match! If you're not sure how to use digi stamps, Lindsay has created a group on yahoo called: "What is Digital Stamping". If you join, you can ask questions on techniques and get a lot of great advice. If you would like the digi stamp that I made for the "Thank You" sentiment. It is a freebie: Thank You.

I did this scrapbook page for TPS's challenge #5 & 8 combined. It is my mom (on the far right) and two of her sisters. The title "Sisters & Friends" is your Thursday Freebie! And don't forget to check out yesterday's post for the Cowboy Collection for sale!

A Mother's Day Hummingbird Card

Hey Everyone! I have had a wonderful weekend. I really enjoyed my rainy scrapbooking weekend. It has done nothing but rain all week here (KY). Anyways, I got around to making this cute and elegant mother's day card. It features a digi stamp freebie from SquiggleFly. I colored it using colored pencils. Then I photo copied what I had colored. and cut out the image again. I layered them on this beautiful tulip patterened paper. I also photo copied some tulips and make them pop with pop dots. The bird's wings are curled slightly out for more of a 3D effect.

I also included a lovely, but short Hummingbird poem on the inside. I thought it fit just perfectly. Below this I will have some sort of lovely verse and phrase about Mother's Day.

Sketch # 17

Happy Weekend Bloggers! I have finally gotten around to completing my sketch challenge #17 for 52 Weeks, 52 Sketches. The flourishes were all cut with SCAL using a file I got from someone else (sorry I wish I remembered where).

This beautiful journal frame is actually a digital stamp from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff. It is only $1.00. It is so easy to use too! I just uploaded it into Microsoft Word and then added a text box to the inside and typed what I wanted it to say. Then just hit print! Couldn't be easier! Click HERE to go to the store to buy this stamp.

Making Faux Chipboard

Hi again...and again...and again. I have never made so many posts in one day before! Wow. This one is for TPS's Faux chipboard challenge. She has a video on her blog showing how to make it. It is really simple! Essentially, you just cut out the same shape 4 or 5 times and glue them all on top of one another.

The beautiful stamp is Anya Angel from The Greeting Farm. The font is called A Yummy Apology. To get the A printed out on my cricut like this, I used SCAL and cut it as a shadow A instead of the regular A.

Brown/Pastel Challenge for TPS

Ok bare with me. I'm still completing challenges for the Pink Stamper's NSD. I love it though! The weather is terrible outside, so I'm enjoying myself in here! The challenge for this one was to use brown and pastel in something. So I created this page for my son. The die cuts were some that came in a kit that I got in Walmart long ago.

A Mother's Day Card

Hello and Happy NSD to all! I am going to share with you a Mother's day card that I made for The Pink Stamper's challenge #4 in honor of NSD. First of all, don't think for a second that I was clever enough to come up with the captions. I saw them on one of Lindsay's cards over at the Frugal Crafter. I just decided to make my own card to give to my mother. The digi stamps are actually coloring pages that I found through google and shrank. You can download them here: Rooster & Hen.

The fancy borders that surround them were made by Paulo who is a member of the SCAL group on Yahoo. To download it, you'll need to register, go to files--SVG files--Frames--Romantic Frame.

The inside of the card has a smaller frame b/c it is actually what was left over from the cut of the front frame. If you'd like the digi stamps that I created for the captions, you can download them here: Rooster Crows & Hen Delivers.
