2 Double LO's with Paper Piecings

I've been working on some custom scrapbook pages for a friend that I met online. The cat paper piecing on the first LO was a freebie from Treasure Box Designs. The page borders, I'm not sure where I got those svg, if you recognize it please let me know so I can give credit.

This LO did not photograph well. For some reason the color is not accurate on page 1. The paper piecings are from My Scrap Chick. The loopy border is from Paolo's blog

A Dino-Mite Smile Picture Frame

Another picture frame! I just love making these! I got that cute little dino at Michaels for just 27 cents! Then I created the faux chipboard letters using my cricut. The Dino-Mite is a free font called Bosshole and smile is in segoe script.

A Patriotic Layout

It's Thursday! So time for another LSS project! I did a scrapbook layout this week and I used two of the patriotic stamps from Lindsay's Patriotic Collection. I scrapbooked some old photos for my aunt of our annual family reunion that we have on 4th of July.

Card Kits I got at a Yard Sale

Lots of cards finished today! I hit up an awesome yard sale of a lady who was getting rid of all of her card making supplies. She had a kit of card making templates and precut items that your just had to assemble. I had so much fun making these! Each card kit had a picture and instructions to follow, so no thinking involved. It was fun even though I didn't use my creative juices!

A Baby Gift Picture Frame

I created this picture frame last week for a friend of mine who is having a baby boy. I love the way the lettering turned out. I created faux chipboard by glueing letters on top of each other (5 layers total), then adding a shadow layer at the bottom. Plus a little distressing ink.

Florida Handcrafted Picture Frame

I am so proud of this little frame! I made it for my grandma's birthday. She has a winter home in florida (we live in KY). So she spends about 4-5 months of the year there. I purchased the frame and wooden cut outs at Michaels. The letters for Florida were cut on my cricut using Segoe Print. I cut them out 5 times, then once in shadow. I used my Zig 2 way glue pen to adhere each letter one on top of the other until it looked like chipboard letters. Then I added a bit of distressing ink and  adhered it to the top of the shadow piece. The phrase at the bottom I printed on my computer and distressed the edges. Pretty easy project!

Another Graduation Card

It's Thursday! Time for another Lindsay Project! I know you all are probably getting tired of seeing this diploma digi, b/c along with half the DT last week I used this image. So here I am using it again. But I guess that just speaks to how timeless and perfectly useful it is!!! The reason I'm creating another grad card is b/c a friend of mine requested that I make one for her nephew who is graduating high school. His school colors are maroon, black and white. I just love a color challenge! So I chose to use the sketch from CardPatterns that you can see below. I also decided to spice it up a bit by adding the congratulations digi from Lindsay's All Around Phrases Set.

I then decided that this card still looked a little too plain, so I got the bright idea to add some shiny black paint dots to the dots in the all around phrases digi. It was so easy and only took less than a minute, but what a great effect! Kinda looks like it is embossed!

Well, that is all for today! I hope you enjoyed my card and don't forget to stop by Lindsay's blog to check out the work done by the other DT members and to snag a freebie!

Monster Jam LO

Howdy folks! It's monday and I had the mojo to do a scrapbook page. I have said many times before how much I love Rowena's sketches, and today is no exception. Hop on over to Crop Diva's Destination to find your inspiration and participate in their challenges! I love love love the title on this page! I've never done one with tags before, but I followed the sketch as closely as I could and i love how it turned out! The cute little torn notebook page was cut using SCAL and my cricut. I gave the svg file away in an earlier post, but I'll post the link again. You can get the Torn Journal Page Here.  I created the little "lighting bolt" border myself to give it some flair. You can download it here.

A Graduation Card

I saw Lindsay's freebie this week and couldn't wait to make a graduation card. I'm not sure I know of anyone to give it to, but they are always nice to have on hand. Hop over to Lindsay's blog to snag the free paper! The cute little diploma came from the School Rules set.
I used this week's sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches for my inspiration.

I used a new Tim Holtz distressing ink pad that I got at HL this weekend. It is called faded jeans, and I love it! I also used my antique paper distress pad and a Q-tip to color in the diploma. I wanted it to be very subtle. As far as the background paper goes, I played around in Paint.net and combined two of the freebie patterns that Lindsay is giving away this week and made one that I thought would fit my card just right. That is the great thing about printing your own PP, you can play with the colors and everything to make it 100% custom to your project. I need to do that more often!

Thank You Teacher Card

This monday is my son's last day at pre-school, as he will begin his summer break. So I made this cute little card to match the tin that I made a few weeks ago. I love the primary colors. I don't often work with these colors all together. I love the brightness and simplicity of it. The stamp is from the Lindsay's Stamp Stuff School Rules set.
I used the sketch at A Crafty Little Place this week.

Don't forget to stop by Lindsay's blog to grab a freebie and to check out the rest of the fab DT's work!

More School Bookmarks

Here are some more bookmarks that I've made for kids at school. These were made for a friend of mine for her daughter to give away as end of the year gifts to her classmates. I made 20 of them.

Glass Tile Jewelry

I've been busy lately making custom glass pendant jewelry. The first one is a school logo that I designed for a client in Illinois. She purchased 3 of them for her daughters and plans to do a school fundraiser with them. I really hope they do, that would be some good income for me! The other ones are stick figure necklaces that were custom made orders for Mother's Day. If any of you would like to order one, I can usually ship to you for just $1.50. They are $10.00 for each pendant.

I also wanted to show you a custom stamp that I ordered this week. I finally got it in the mail and I love it!! I'm looking for anything I can stamp! I purchased it here. Use the code 10OFF to get 10% off your order.
