This & That....

Hello everyone! Sorry once again that I've been lax about posting. I have certainly been busy. More often than not, I've been baking or taking care of little Brett (who is now 3 months old!).

This is perhaps one of my favorite pieces of jewelry that I've made yet. It is in blue/gold colors of my alma mater, Murray State University. I made it for a friend who is currently seeking a nursing degree at MSU.

Craft Fair Photos, a Freezer Tee, Magnetic Boards & Freebies!

Well, here it is over a week after my first craft fair and I'm just now posting about it. It was not as successful as I had hoped. It was a lot of fun and a great learning experience, but unfortunately, it was not well advertised. There was no sign by the road and no ad in the paper. I think the person hosting relied soley on facebook to advertise. I did sell $28.00 worth. Not quite worth all the effort, but at least I have 2 more fairs to go to. The magnetic boards have sold well in my craft booth at the local trader's mall. I am selling them $10each or 2/$15.00.

Here is a bracelet that I made for a local sorority girl. Their mascot is the panda. So I found these cute little panda beads on ebay. I made the red beads myself.

Here is a bracelet that I made for my DSIL. She is a dental assistant, so I got the cute little teeth beads on ebay.

And here is a t-shirt that I made for a friend's little boy. Her husband has a shirt just like it that she got him at Old Navy, but they did not make it in the baby's size, so she asked if I could make one like it. Of course! haha. I just used my cricut and SCAL and replicated the design. I cut it out in freezer paper and then used the freezer paper as a stencil to paint. Finally, here are a couple of the magnetic boards I was talking about. I made these using decorative cookie trays that I got from the Dollar Tree. I made the bottlecap embellishments myself and cut the UK using my SCAL and cricut. You can download it here.

All in a Day's Work

Yesterday was quite a productive day in my craft room! I got 6 scrapbook pages done, finished making 79 bottlecaps and 36 glass tile pendants. The scrapbook pages are for my aunt. She loves to take photos and she gave me a box with about 30+ rolls of film in it from the past 10 years and asked me to scrap them for her. Thankfully I don't have to scrap every single picture, and she's going to pay me, but what a task! Well it's been sitting in my craft room for several months and yesterday I finally found the gumption to get started.

I've been making this kind of jewelry for quite some time and selling it in my craft booth in town, but a lady who runs a local gift shop saw my things and wanted to place a wholesale order. So below is what she will be putting in her store. The first design I purchased from an Etsy seller here. It comes as a digital file that you can print and do what you want with.

Stretchy Bracelets I Made

Even though I was on vacation in Florida, I still found time to squeeze in something crafty! I made these stretch bracelets using some beads and stretch cord that I bought at JoAnn's. I'd never been in a JoAnn's before, but I fell in love! I wish we had a store like it here in kentucky.
I plan to sell them in my craft booth for $6-$8 depending on how fancy they are. Sorry I couldn't get better photos.

Bottlecap Jewelry

Today I thought I'd share with you what I've been up to all weekend. I got my shipment of bottlecaps and stuff in the mail and I've been playing all weekend. Here are some of what I came up with. I'm going to put them in my craft booth for sale. I have ribbon necklaces to go with them. I apologize for the horrendously blurry photos, but my camera has about had it. I'm getting a new one for Christmas *hopefully*. So keep your fingers crossed, but for now you get the idea.

The bottlecaps and the Glaze Drops came from Sun & Moon Craft Kits. Apparently their store is closed over Thanksgiving break, but you'll have to check them out when they return! They have some great deals! I was able to make these for under $1.00 each. Maybe even less than that!

Anyways, the way I did it was I printed my images, cut them into 1" circles and then used fabri-tac (any tacky glue would work) to attach them to the bottle cap. Then I placed one of the "Glaze Drops" over the top to give it a bubbled up effect. So easy!
