My Son at Age 3 (2pg LO)

I finally finished scrappin' the pictures of my son when he turned 3. He'll be 4 this October. Hard to believe. He's such a ham for the camera.

I used this sketch from Pamela's World of Scrap.
And since the challenge at Scrap & Stamp is to create a 2pg LO, here is the second page! The stamp is a bracket digi stamp that I created on my own it is on the first page.

A Layout + Bear Freebie

Welcome to Thursday's LSS project! This week I felt the need to get some scrappin' done. So I chose a couple of photos of my son and his PaPaw (my dad). They are inseparable. I just had to dedicate a page to them. And what better way to do it than to use Lindsay's Stick People Set? I mixed and matched the heads and bodies to create two cute little guys who look a lot like my son and my dad.

I paper pieced the clothing on by printing the image more than once onto different patterened papers and cutting out the clothes. This makes the LO qualify for the challenge at Scrap & Stamp which required a stamp and paper piecing. The LO also qualifies for the challenge at Practical Scrappers which required that you have either the word "One" or the number one on the LO.  And finally, I used the sketch this week at Sketch Inspiration.

Now for your freebie! A cute little bear. Below you can download the svg file and save the digi stamp version as well.

Travis Turns 3 LO (almost a year late)

Hello again, today I got another page done! Yippee!! I'm trying to knock as many of these out of the way as I can before baby #2 gets here. I'm sure I'll have my hands full with two boys in the house. His arrival date is set for Sept 10th in case any of you were wondering. Hopefully he'll greet us sooner. He's a big boy already. My sweet little boy below is my first son. He'll be 4 on his birthday this October, so I figured I should probably hurry up and scrap these photos (next I need to do the bday party pics). I cut both of the flourishes with my cricut. The brown one is one that I created for a design found on an old sketch of Rowena's. You can download it at this old post. The doodle flourish (the green one) was a freebie from someplace, but I can't remember at the moment. *sorry*

The cute little word art is a digital stamp from Create with TLC.

I used this sketch from Scrap & Stamp.

Scrap & Stamp Saturday-- Family Gatherings

It's that time again! Time for a new challenge from Scrap and Sketch. This week's challenge is to scrap a "family gathering". I chose to scrapbook these photos of my family at my grandfather's Father's Day gathering. He's a big UK basketball fan in case you couldn't tell.

This layout will be going in an album that I'm making for my uncle who is overseas working for a government contract in Afghanistan. I know he gets homesick over there, so when he comes home for a Christmas visit, I'm going to give him an album full of family photos to remember us by.

Those cute little "tickets" came from a scrapbooking kit by Sassafrass and Cosmo Cricket. I won this kit by participating in the 52 Sketches, 52 weeks challenge! Yee-Haw! I love free stuff! Thank You Julie!

I used this week's sketch from Scrapsketch. I just sized it down to an 8x8.

Scrap & Stamp Saturday-- All About Me!

Hello everyone! It's Saturday! So it's time for another layout for the Scrap and Stamp challenge. This week's challenge is going to be "All About You". I think this challenge is a great one, because we oftentimes neglect scrapping pictures of ourselves so that we can finish layouts of others. It was a challenge to find photos of myself to scrap, because I'm always the one taking the photos. However I have plenty of pics of myself when I was pregnant. This was one time when I was asking people to take my picture because I didn't want to forget any moment of it. You see.... I was one of those pregnant chicks who was blissfully happy. No morning sickness! I can't wait to get pregnant again. It was one of the most wonderful times in my life. Even though I look like a whale in these pictures. haha.

If you haven't participated in Scrap and Stamp challenges yet, now is the time to do so! We have prizes every week and so far we've only had an average of 8 or 10 participants. So if you join in the fun, you've got a good chance of winning!

Pickin' Punkins - Fall Scrap & Stamp Challenge

Hello everyone! I hope you're having a fabulous Saturday! This is my first time to be a part of the Scrap and Stamp DT challenge. This week's challenge was to scrap about "Fall Traditions". These photos were so perfect for this theme. I took them of my son Travis at the Pumpkin Patch a couple of months ago. Every year we visit the pumpkin patch to pick out the perfect pumpkin. He loves to go there. The man who owns it is an old family friend and I think he enjoys our visits just as much as we do.

I used this week's sketch from 52 Weeks, 52 Sketches. The cute little die cut title was a free svg file from SVGcuts.com. I just downloaded it and cut it with my SCAL program and Cricut. It was so perfect for this layout! As a part of the challenges at Scrap and Stamp, we are supposed to use stamping somewhere in the layout. Well, I decided to spruce it up a bit with some flourishes. So I got out my acrylic flourish stamps and used my Tim Holtz "brushed corduroy" distressing inks to put flourishes in all the right places.

Don't forget to hop on over to Scrap and Stamp to check out the other fabulous layouts done by our Design Team this week. There is a whole new crop of designers ready to show off what they've done, so share the love!

Scrap & Stamp Challenge

Here is a LO I did for this week's Scrap & Stamp challenge. This is the first time I've ever participated in their challenges. But for some reason I've been in the scrapping mood this week and I'd run out of sketches to use, so I went looking for some new inspiration! The pine trees and camp sign are digi stamps from Dustin Pike.
