Breast Cancer Encouragement Card + Turkey Freebie

This week I decided to make a card for my son's preschool teacher. She was just diagnosed this past week with breast cancer. I just wanted to cheer her up a bit. So I used Lindsay's new set of bold black & white digital papers. I opened the paper that I wanted in my publisher program. I right-clicked on the paper and chose format picture/object. Then I clicked on the "recolor" button. Then I just chose a sassy color of pink! I am in love with this zebra print. It isn't your typical print. It is very artistic looking!

I also used Linday's breast cancer awareness digi stamp. It is an old freebie, but you can still get it here. I used my paint.net program to add the zebra print to the bra as well. You can see my tutorial for doing this here. I just added a couple of doodle flourishes behind the image and a bit of ribbon and inking to the edges.

I found this quote on google and put it inside. This card qualifies for the following challenges: Aly's Stampin' Challenge (distressing), City Crafter (get your digi on), Color Cue 9 (Pink, white, grey, black), Cow Girl Sunday (bling it on), Craft your Passion (Anything goes), Crafty Card Makers (use digi in unusual way), Incy Wincy (Anything goes), Inktegrity (Anything goes), Lexi's Creations (Anything Goes), My Sheri (Get well), Paper Players (anything goes), Stamp Something (pink), Wee Memories, (free 4 all)

I also wanted to show you Lindsay's two new sets! You can read more about them here.  She's been a busy gal!

Now don't forget to stop by Lindsay's blog for a freebie!

Time for your Thursday freebie! Per request, here is a Turkey! The SVG file is below. To save the digi stamp, click on the image to get the larger file, then right-click to save.

Christmas Hostess Gift + Halloween Freebie

I'm finally getting into the christmas spirit. This is my first christmas project this year so far. I absolutely loved making this simple hostess gift. It was cheap, fast and fun! haha. I got the idea from Kerry's Paper Crafts. If you've never checked out her blog before, you should! She has some great ideas!
The container is a from some fresh strawberries from my local produce store. I simply washed it out. The confetti and candles were from Dollar Tree. The Christmas tag on top is from Lindsay's Nature's Christmas set. The December 25 on top of the ribbon flower is from Lindsay's Christmas Cupcake Wrapper Set.
I used red stickles for holly berries and pearl paint on santa's beard. It looks so much better in person!
Forgive me for the poor lighting on the photos. I took these after the sun went down and I am used to working with natural light. I need to get some kind of light box set up.
This project qualifies for the following challenges: ABC Christmas (Under the Tree), ABC Challenge (X-Mas), Craftylicious (anything goes), The Crafty Pad (Something for a friend), Create 4 Fun (Use a digi), Flourishes (Gift), Flourishes (Inky edges), Inky Impressions (Anything Goes), Make It Crafty (Distressing), One Stop Craft (Alter It)

I also wanted to remind you of a great sale going on til Saturday at Lindsay's store!

Now for your freebies! Don't forget to stop by Lindsay's blog to snag a freebie!

I've also got a free digi for you!

With Deepest Sympathy...+ Freebie

It's Thursday...so you know what that means! Time for a Lindsay project! She has two new sets available! I decided to use this beautiful cross from the Many Blessings set. I used the sketch from 2S4Y this week. I colored the stamp using my copics. I love the purple! I've never used my purple copics much, but I will now.  I cut the card base with my cricut using an old svg from Mamaw's Legacy.

The purple dew drops I made myself using a hot glue gun and alcohol ink. Lindsay has a tutorial here.
This card qualifies for the challenges at Easy Craft Projects (Purple), One Stitch at a Time (Anything Goes), Stamp Something (Fall Colors, Stamptacular Sunday (Fall colors) and Tuesday Throwdown (punches)

Don't forget to check out Lindsay's blog for a freebie and the DT's work!

4 Cards Done Today!

Hello again! I finally finished making some more cards! Can you believe I got these done in under 2 hours? All 4 of them?! Well technically I sat and colored the images yesterday while watching tv. Then I saved them for later and today I made cards! These will be going in my craft booth for sale. I sold quite a bit of cards over the weekend and I need to replenish my stash! All of them were colored with Copics. Also, another great thing about all of these cards? I used SCRAPS! Any paper you see (with the exception of the card base) is made using scraps! That also just so happens to be the challenge this week at Digi Doodle Shop.

This card was created using a Cardabilities Sketch and a stamp from Bugaboo Stamps.Below is the inside of the card.

This card was made using this week's freebie from Bugaboo Stamps. and a sketch from CPS -Card Sketches.

This one was made using Surfing Ian from the Greeting Farm, a freebie sentiment from Create with TLC, and  a sketch from Clean & Simple Stamping.

And finally, this one was created using a sketch from Diva Coffee Break Designs and a digi freebie from The Digi Shack. This card has a digi freebie on the inside from Create with TLC that says "You're How Old?!"

The Perfect Pear Card + Freebie

Hello! Long time no see! Haha. I'm sorry I haven't posted in a few days. I've been out of town. My husband is attending the Kentucky State Trooper Academy in Frankfort. He is set for graduation Sept 17th (yes, just one week after the baby's due date). He is there all week and usually drives 4 hours home each weekend to see us for less than 48 hours, so this weekend, while I'm still able to travel, my son and I went up to see him. We had a wonderful time.

Anyways....when I got home from my trip, I had a package waiting for me! My new Copics! I got 80 of them on Ebay for about $2 each! Wowza! That's way better than paying $6.95 each at HL. So needless to say, ever since I opened up the package, I've done nothing but play and color. I did happen to make a card though!

This cute pear image comes from The Little Paper Shop. It was a freebie a long time ago, but I can't find the acutal link now, so maybe it was for a limited time. Anyways, I plan to go to an engagement party tonight and give this to the lovely couple.
I used this week's sketch from Friday Sketchers.

Let them eat Cake! Card + Freebie

Hello everyone! It's Thursday again! That means another Lindsay project! I have been dying to get my hands on this set! I just haven't had the time. So I finally made it a priority this week. I love how you can layer all the pieces and make your own digi! I used the cake stand and cupcake pngs to layer and make a cute little cupcake display. These digis come from the Sweet Treats 2 Set.  The cute little sentiment is a freebie from Create with TLC. The bracket is an svg freebie from Images by Heather M.

I used this week's sketch from Digital Tuesday. I also added a bit of clear glaze to the reflective spots on the cake stand glass.

This card qualifies for the following challenges: Card Style Fun and Cute Challenge in the Moxie Fab World and the Ice-cream and cakes at CRAFT Challenges.

Now off you go! Check out the rest of the DT's work and grab your freebie over at Lindsay's place!

And now for your Thursday freebie! A very chic chick for your cards and scrapbook pages!

Steampunk Birthday Card + Freebie!

Hello everyone! It's Thursday again! Amazing how fast it comes around each week. I am super excited to share with you this card that I made today. First of all, I'm excited because Lindsay has released a new set called Steampunk Stamps. At first I was thinking, what am I going to use these for? Then I started seeing endless possibilities behind these simple and totally cool vintage images. I can't wait to use a few more of them! If I'd had time today, I probably would have made 3 or 4 cards!

Another reason to get excited, Lindsay's birthday!! Everything in her store is 34% off to honor Lindsay's 34th birthday tomorrow through Saturday!

So I used the vintage typewriter image. I knew exactly who I was making my card for the minute I saw it. Our preacher at church has a facination with old typewriters. He even has a tie pin made from a 1932 typewriter (couldn't tell you the brand). His birthday will be coming up soon, so I made him this card.
I used the sketch at 2 Sketches 4 U this week. Another reason I was excited was because of the genius (ok I'm not conceited) sentiment that I came up to go along with it! I usually have to copy other people's sentiments, because I can't think of my own, but I love this one!

Don't forget to stop by Lindsay's blog to check out the DT's work and grab a freebie!
