Scrap & Stamp Saturday-- All About Me!

Hello everyone! It's Saturday! So it's time for another layout for the Scrap and Stamp challenge. This week's challenge is going to be "All About You". I think this challenge is a great one, because we oftentimes neglect scrapping pictures of ourselves so that we can finish layouts of others. It was a challenge to find photos of myself to scrap, because I'm always the one taking the photos. However I have plenty of pics of myself when I was pregnant. This was one time when I was asking people to take my picture because I didn't want to forget any moment of it. You see.... I was one of those pregnant chicks who was blissfully happy. No morning sickness! I can't wait to get pregnant again. It was one of the most wonderful times in my life. Even though I look like a whale in these pictures. haha.

If you haven't participated in Scrap and Stamp challenges yet, now is the time to do so! We have prizes every week and so far we've only had an average of 8 or 10 participants. So if you join in the fun, you've got a good chance of winning!

Freebie Thursday **Scroll Down for LSS**

Hey there everyone!
So I'm sorry I'm a bit behind getting your freebie Thursday posted. I hope you enjoy it! I know it is a little out of season for Prom, but if you're like me you stay behind scrapping your pics. These pic were actually taken in 2002. It was my senior prom. Yes that's me and my hubby before we were married, we were high school sweethearts. (ok take a sec and say "awww") haha. You can't see it, but the journalling says that the song we walked out to at the prom was "I could not ask for more" by Sara Evans (the first song on my blog playlist).

I used this week's sketch from Crafts by Rowena. I just love her sketches. I am always inspired to create by them. I think it is because they aren't too over complicated like some seem to be sometimes.
That loopy border at the bottom of the LO is a freebie from Paolo. I just took a square in SCAL and welded my border to the bottom. So easy!

(In case you're wondering, it is Edward's font. *Twilight* called "Be Safe".

Dahlia Sympathy Window Card

Here is a simple yet lovely card that I did on the fly today for a friend at church whose mother passed away this week. This card was cut using my cricut and it is comprised of three different svg freebie files that I've gotten from different places. So here they are: The window Card is from Mamaw's Legacy. The Dahlia is from Paper, Scissors, Ink. The flourishes around the Dahlia are from Jeanne at Creative Chaos. And finally the beautiful word art is from Elegant Word Art by Bethany.

I hope you enjoy this card. If you'd like the svg file for card with all three elements combined, please just leave a comment and I'll email it to you. But don't forget to pop over to the above blogs to thank each of these talented people for making these fabulous files!
Word art says: "God gave us memories so that we might have June Roses in the December of our lives". ~James Barrie.

Friendship Never Melts Away & Digi Freebie Search!

It's week 7 of the digi freebie search with the Lindsay's Stamp Stuff DT! This is a scrapbook page that I did of my son and his Aunt Whitney sharing a Push-Pop! I used Lindsay's cute little ice cream cone stamp. It's just $1.00! The swirly flourish that I have in both corners of the page is a freebie from My Cricut Scrapbooking. This fabulous sentiment is word art that I snagged for free from Elegant Word Art by Bethany and I converted it into an svg file to cut on my Cricut. The paper is by My Mind's Eye.

Once again, Lindsay has designed a special stamp for one of us on the design team. On Thursdays, one lucky DT member will have her special stamp available to download free for a whole week. Click on the links below to check out the cool Design Team Blogs and see who has the free stamp this week!
