Tis the Season! - Lindsay's Stamp Stuff

I'm in the Christmas spirit! I've got my tree up and my house decorated and it's high time I made some Christmas cards! Here is the first one! I am so excited about Lindsay's new Christmas sets! They are so versatile!

The base for this card and the Happy Holidays Punch out comes from the Winter Printables set, which includes several different printables, including some cupcake wrappers for just $4.00. The wreath comes from the Christmas Potpourri set, also $4.00.

To make this card, I simply printed the card base on white cardstock, then cut to the size card I wanted, then folded. I painstakingly cut out this adorable wreath and then used pop dots to add some dimension. The snowflake charms are 8 pieces/$1.76 at wal-mart. They look metal, but are really plastic.

Parris Island - Marine Corps Scrapbook

I finished another page today! I'm on a roll! I'm trying to hurry up at get this album finished so I can get a start on the other two or three that I have setting around for family members. This one is a surprise Christmas gift for my hubby. It is long overdue!


This was made using another fabulous sketch from Crafts by Rowena. I didn't follow it as closely as I do some sketches, and this frustrates me, but sometimes you just have to make due. The chicken wire is a free svg file that I got from somewhere, but I'm sorry I don't remember where. If you recognize it let me know so I can give them credit! It cut beautifully!

Pickin' Punkins - Fall Scrap & Stamp Challenge

Hello everyone! I hope you're having a fabulous Saturday! This is my first time to be a part of the Scrap and Stamp DT challenge. This week's challenge was to scrap about "Fall Traditions". These photos were so perfect for this theme. I took them of my son Travis at the Pumpkin Patch a couple of months ago. Every year we visit the pumpkin patch to pick out the perfect pumpkin. He loves to go there. The man who owns it is an old family friend and I think he enjoys our visits just as much as we do.


I used this week's sketch from 52 Weeks, 52 Sketches. The cute little die cut title was a free svg file from SVGcuts.com. I just downloaded it and cut it with my SCAL program and Cricut. It was so perfect for this layout! As a part of the challenges at Scrap and Stamp, we are supposed to use stamping somewhere in the layout. Well, I decided to spruce it up a bit with some flourishes. So I got out my acrylic flourish stamps and used my Tim Holtz "brushed corduroy" distressing inks to put flourishes in all the right places.

Boot Camp - Marine Corps Scrapbook

Finished another page today! I'm just squeezing them in right and left lately. This one is just pictures of my hubby on his graduation day packing up his stuff.

I also thought I'd share with you the most cheesy card I've ever made (on purpose that is). This is the card that I gave my hubby for our 5 year anniversary. I didn't feel like doing anything "mushy" this year, so I remembered this free svg that I got from Mamaw's Legacy. I thought it was hilarious and I've just been waiting for the right moment to make it. I did do one thing differently though, I gave them cutesy eyes. That was not included in the svg from Mamaw.

Here is the little poem that I made up on the fly to go inside. Whatdya think? Haha I know what you're thinking, I should keep my day job. haha but I'm a SAHM. hehe.

Digi Stamps & Bottlecap Jewelry!

Before I get to my project, I just wanted to announce that today is my 5th anniversary with my husband!

This week I've been making more things for my craft booth and it suddenly occured to me that digi stamps would look great on bottlecaps! So I did these two as an experiment! They turned out great!

I first printed my digis at about 1" and then colored them with my Bic Mark Its. Then I put one Glaze Drop on top of each one to give them a bubbled effect. Then I cut around the glaze drop to remove the excess paper. Then I used some Diamond Glaze to adhere the bubbled image to the bottlecap. Very easy to do! I purchased both my glaze drops and bottle caps here. Their store is closed for Thanksgiving.

Boot Camp Graduation -- Marine Corps Scrapbook

Wow it's been a while since I worked on my husband's scrapbook. I've been so busy with my craft booth that I've put scrapping aside, but I'm finally back in the swing of things. Here is the latest page!



I used yet another fabulous sketch from Crafts by Rowena. She is the one that gave me the idea to put the stars where the flowers are. When I first looked at this sketch I was thinking what am I going to do with this? Then I read her tips below the sketch and inspiration took over! Thanks Rowena!

A Wedding Card & A Smile Card

This first card I made using Wanda's free Scroll card SVG. I cut it out and then decided that I wanted to use just the scroll work, so I cut off the rest of it and glued it to the front of a white card. It cut out just beautifully!

Then I wasn't sure what to put in the center, but I found this tag that said "From This day Forward". It was actually a pretty design on a wedding gift bag that I pulled off to keep. I thought I could use it on something eventually and I'm so glad I saved it! It fits perfectly!
Here is another card that I threw together this afternoon. I know it looks like I did more work than throwing it together, but really I already had the blue paper embroidered with flowers. Remember my post a few months back? I created this design to cut tiny holes on my cricut and then just ran thread through the holes. This design is available in my store for just $3.00!

Anyways, so I found this laying somewhere on my craft desk and decided to finally whip a card out of it!
